Symphony Hall Reaches Best Venue Award Final

Posted on 27 March 2008

Birmingham’s own internationally acclaimed concert hall is proud to be a nominee at this year’s Express & Star Spotlight Awards 2008 in the best large concert venue category.

Symphony Hall is one of the busiest halls in the country welcoming over 350,000 concertgoers to over 300 classical, jazz, world, rock and pop events each year, including the Birmingham International Concert Season and a strong commitment to education/community projects.

The annual awards ceremony, sponsored by Black Country Tourism, celebrates the vast choice of entertainment on offer in the region with the final winners decided by an online public vote. Results will be announced at the awards ceremony in May. A whole host of stars will be appearing at the event including Strictly Come Dancing performers Anton du Beke and Erin Boag with proceeds from ticket sales for the event being donated to Variety Club Midlands.
