John Greening

Julie Boden, THSH Poet in Residence, introduces our featured guest writer, John Greening:

John Greening was born in 1954. He received a Cholmondeley Award from the Society of Authors in 2008. His latest collection Hunts (published by Greenwich Exchange) is representative of 30 years work. The ‘Hunts’ of the title, range from Ancient Egypt to New Jersey, from Hounslow Heath to the South Pole. This collection is quite different in emphasis from his 1988 Selected and restores many out-of-print narratives.

It gives me great pleasure to feature some of John’s poetry here on the THSH website. His love of both Poetry and Music are evident in the poems he has sent to me for inclusion in future concert programmes and I’m sure you will enjoy reading them as much as I have:
